Welcome to St. Benedict School! Located in the city of Montebello, we are part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and have proudly served the children of St. Benedict Parish and its neighboring communities for more than 70 years.
Saint Benedict ministers to approximately 500 students from transitional kindergarten to eighth grade. Our Catholic-grounded, high-school preparatory curriculum is based on Common Core Standards and offers students opportunities for growth in major subjects and electives such as Computer Science, Spanish and Art and Music Appreciation. In an effort to remain an innovative institution, we strive to enhance student learning with cutting-edge educational technology.
Our dedicated and highly qualified teachers, the majority of whom hold masters degrees in addition to their California Teaching Credential, evaluate and review curriculum areas according to Archdiocesan guidelines and participate in the Western Association of Schools and Colleges/Western Catholic Education Association (WASC/WCEA) accreditation process.
Campus life at St. Benedict is vibrant and rich in tradition with an eye towards the future. Clubs, sports, educational assemblies, field trips, student government, showcases, and other activities throughout the school year provide our young Bruins with abundant opportunities to tap into their unique abilities, talents and aspirations.
